I am thinking the more intense sections of the song can be shot indoors maybe or at night for the fact that it is a little harder and lightens up a bit toward the chorus when they can have a little more relaxed, golden hour feel.
Also during the more intense parts, have a lot of shots of them jamming, lots of close ups on all instruments and faces.
Band Shots
Idea #1: During maybe the middle toward the decline of a jam out, have the camera rotate behind them for a dirty OTS and have a crowd shown.
Idea #2: Drone shots outside at Snow Canyon with the red rock of them playing.
Idea #3: Behind the night or indoor scene of them playing have out of focus string lights.
Idea #4: During guitar solo towards the end, maybe be in the middle of all of them facing each other playing, and get a shot that gradually gets faster and blurred, spinning in a circle with a glidecam.
Idea #5: Ending is a slow motion, slow fade out of either them and/or the main character of the narrative walking away.
Narrative
Idea #1: A down on her luck, struggling teenage/young adult girl decides to rob a bank/convenience store (or something of the like) to buy a bus pass to find acceptance. She then finds the band waiting for her at the bus stop and then the fading ending.

Riverter's Son lyrics- Welcome
Born on an island, guess that makes me an army of one
But I’m beginning to see how this solitarity is making me come undone
Walking in the wilderness alone, used to be my favorite pastime
But I’ve heard it takes two words to rhyme.
So I’m beginning to change, my ideology
Are you willing to stay?
Are you willing to pay the price it takes to get to know me, if so don’t lie just show me.
Are you willing to stay?
Are you willing to pay the price it takes to truly love me, to be my one and only!
You know they say, that lightning never strikes the same place twice,
But I'm hoping for a freak accident with my love.
Would you look, down from above, cause I'm out on the roof with my lightning rod, just begging for you to come down and give me a high five.
Well you can call me an egotist if you insist,
But I'm a man without a guide, could sure use some company out here on the ride.
Chorus(x2)
Music Video Inspirations
I have watched all of these music videos on silent to judge purely based on looks. Much like Tinder.

The aspect I like is the narrative to band cuts, and the bands are in several different locations jamming. I love sunflares! All kinds of natural lighting at dusk during golden hour.

I like the color schemes here, the faded look. Blues and greens and browns. Rustic look. I like the shots of the band walking and jamming and singing down the sidewalk. I think it would be cool to do that downtown with the old buildings. Also really want a lot of instrument close ups.

This video is AWESOME. I love the slow push in the beginning and the same faded color schemes. I love the quick cuts. Oddly it matched the actual song when I played it simultaneously. I love all the slow motion. The colors outside when people are running in slow motion is sweet. I am a huge fan of the string lights, and the fuzzy out of focus colored lights look.

Shar's Look Book
Here's the link to a playlist on YouTube for music videos and film clips that I'm putting together. It's compiled of things I feel like encompass what I'm really looking for in terms of color feel, and several of them for the shots I appreciate/would maybe want to copy.
I'll continue to add to it, but I've got a start of about 8 clips and videos for now.
Note: On the "Centipede" video, I've used that as an example mainly for the shots and story line up until the drop.

Music Video Capstones-Band 1
Riveter's Son
"We are inspired by many different bands, each member comes with various influences, we have a lot of jazz, metal, funk, and rock influences. Our goal is to create a new genre of music, working out pretty well, and to continue to write music, get an album, and make the world a better place. We have gone on a pretty long journey, we feel like we are finally discovering our sound. Our genre is art rock or progressive rock." -Ryan Day

Band members:
Ian Hawkes-Lead Vocalist
Riley Parsons-Drummer
Maxwell Butterfield-Guitarist
Ryan Day-Keyboardist
Nathan Collins-Bass
Hometown: Provo, UT
Themes of top two song choices by band:
Seventh Angel: doomsday, post apocalyptic, urgent, theme of redemption and of hope, of strength, of a savior, of struggle and fight, conflict, of war, of difficult large choices, choosing a side because you've run out of time, making things personal and coming to a decision about things.
Welcome: talking about emotional acceptance, welcoming into our life, being open and vulnerable.
